How to Help Your Teen Cope with Anxiety

Here we are, more than half way through summer. Where is your mind? Where is your energy? Are you still in summer mode, or already thinking about Fall? I remember when our kids were growing up, summer time had the allure and the hope of a slower schedule and more time to relax and have fun. In reality summer meant full time work, juggling kid and teen activities (more than home watching tv or screens all day) and being a shuttle service. And food. Meals, snacks, lots of food. All with a beautiful sunny day outside my car or office window. For those of you in those parenting days right now, my heart is with you! You’ve got this.

And we’ve got you. Robin and me, that is. As parents ourselves, we both know well that underneath the day to day care for your kids (and grandkids) there is deeper hum: a worry and focus on their health and well being. Raising healthy, happy humans is a big responsibility!

Robin and I are here to support YOU by SUPPORTING and EQUIPPING your teen. Anxiety Busting Tools for Teens is a zoom workshop happening Sunday, August 20th from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (PST). It is a tangible, simple way for you to support your teen’s developing mental health and wellbeing through self-awareness and practical tools. We will practice together during the workshop. They will leave uplifted and with a sense of hope for the upcoming school year.

And we will have fun. Fun Fact: Robin and I met when we were in 7th grade! And we’ve been friends ever since. A few years ago, when I was going through my year long Deep Coaching Certification program, she was going through a 2 year Yoga Therapist Certification program. We realized our interests were so similar (being present and mindful in our self, relationships and life) and complimentary. And our collaboration adventures began.

This Anxiety-Busting Tools for Teens Zoom Workshop is for your child if they:

  • Are curious about how to feel better and be more relaxed.

  • Ever feel overwhelmed by school.

  • Feel anxious and stressed at times.

  • Are extra hard on themselves and have negative self-talk.

  • Feel their heart racing, hands shaking, stomach hurting, or have headaches.
